Driving Letters
To apply for driving privileges, you need to submit the driving letter request form requesting driving privileges. Please be specific with your request (work, medical appointments or school).
Along with the driving letter request form you need to send a $10.00 filing fee. Please make the check or money order to the Wayne County Clerk of Court if this is how you are paying the fee.
Before you send this fee, however, driving privileges are contingent upon payment of all reinstatement fees owed to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, all fines and court costs that are owed to the court and written proof that you have insurance. The court requires insurance information to include the beginning and ending dates of the policy and must list you as a covered driver.
If you were ordered to complete an alcohol/drug assessment as part of your sentencing, we will need written proof that you completed the assessment from your counselor.
